If you are between the ages of 13 and 24 and looking to have some fun and connect with people your own age, then you’ll want to check out Rec for Youth.

Rec for Youth is a social club where youth of all abilities gather together weekly to enjoy sports, crafts, movies and other activities. Over the summer, the youth plan trips to Canada’s Wonderland, Cedar Park, local museums and recreation centers to name just a few. The group meets on a weekly basis alternating between the Uxbridge and Port Perry communities.

Planning

Our “Getting Connected in North Durham” is a transitional support model designed to assist high school graduates make a smooth and successful transition from school to the adult community. Community Facilitators are available to assist youth and their support circles through a holistic approach to life planning. Facilitators assist the youth to explore opportunities, set goals and get connected to their community.

If you are interested in creating your own sculpture or jewelry piece out of Polymer Clay, then tonight is for you. This is a chance for you to create a colourful piece of artwork. Drop off at 6pm and pick up at 8pm at the Port Perry Baptist Church. Cost is $3.

Tonight we are going to have dinner out in Uxbridge. We will take a vote on where to go to eat once we get closer to June. Drop off at 5pm and pick up at 7pm at the Uxbridge Baptist Church. Bring your dinner money with you.

Although the winter Olympics are over, we would like to celebrate them being in Canada by holding our own Olympic night "Youth Group" style. So put on your running soes and get ready to compete in some fun events. Drop off at 6pm and pick up at 8pm at the Port Perry Baptist Church. No cost.

If you are looking for thrills, just a casual stroll or want to take in some shows, then this is the day for you. Please wear comfortable footwear and dress for the weather. Drop off at 9am and pick up at 7pm at the Uxbridge Baptist Church. Cost is $35 + pack a lunch and bring money for dinner.

Are you "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob"? This is a night for EVERYONE whether you enjoy watching and/or reading the Twilight Saga or know nothing about it you are sure to have fun. Drop off at 6pm and pick up at 8pm and the Port Perry Resource Centre. Cost is $3.
