If you are between the ages of 13 and 24 and looking to have some fun and connect with people your own age, then you’ll want to check out Rec for Youth.

Rec for Youth is a social club where youth of all abilities gather together weekly to enjoy sports, crafts, movies and other activities. Over the summer, the youth plan trips to Canada’s Wonderland, Cedar Park, local museums and recreation centers to name just a few. The group meets on a weekly basis alternating between the Uxbridge and Port Perry communities.

Planning

Our “Getting Connected in North Durham” is a transitional support model designed to assist high school graduates make a smooth and successful transition from school to the adult community. Community Facilitators are available to assist youth and their support circles through a holistic approach to life planning. Facilitators assist the youth to explore opportunities, set goals and get connected to their community.

Time: 6:00 pm

Tonight we will be haivng a "mock" super bowl party. We will have football games, football snacks and tons of fun. You don't have to be a football fan to enjoy tonight. Drop off 6pm; pick up 8pm at Uxbridge Baptist Church. Cost $3

* Bird Walk and Hockey

Bird Walk and Hockey

Time: 9:30 am

Today we have two events planned. First we will be going to the Lynde Shores Bird Walk Park and then to watch the Port Perry Mojacks take on the Uxbridge Bruins. This is sure to be an exciting day. Please pack money fo rlunch, $2 for bird food and $5 for Arena admission. Dress warmly! Drop off 9:30am and pick up 4pm at the Port Perry Resource Centre

Come out and celebrate Valentine's Day with all your youth group friends. You may also bring a friend if you wish. Drop off at 6pm and pick up at 8pm at Port Perry Baptist Church. Cost is $3

* Putting Edge

Time: 5:30 pm

It's time for a little "Glow in the Dark" MIni Putt at the Putting Edge in Whitby! Remember to wear your white clothes, they glow the best. Drop off at 5:30pm; pick up 8pm at Port Perry Resource Centre. Cost is $15
