If you are between the ages of 13 and 24 and looking to have some fun and connect with people your own age, then you’ll want to check out Rec for Youth.

Rec for Youth is a social club where youth of all abilities gather together weekly to enjoy sports, crafts, movies and other activities. Over the summer, the youth plan trips to Canada’s Wonderland, Cedar Park, local museums and recreation centers to name just a few. The group meets on a weekly basis alternating between the Uxbridge and Port Perry communities.

Planning

Our “Getting Connected in North Durham” is a transitional support model designed to assist high school graduates make a smooth and successful transition from school to the adult community. Community Facilitators are available to assist youth and their support circles through a holistic approach to life planning. Facilitators assist the youth to explore opportunities, set goals and get connected to their community.

Time: 5:30 pm

Tonight we will be traveling to the Blackstock Arena for curling. The Blackstock Curling club has once again volunteered their time to teach us their sport. We have been invited to watch them play afterwards. Please dress warmly and bring a clean pair of footwear for on the ice. Drop off at 5:30pm and pick up at 7:30pm at the Port Perry Resource Centre. Please bring $1 to purchase hot chocolate

Tonight wil will be making a spaghetti meal that everyone will be sure to enjoy. Drop off at 5pm and pick up at 7pm at the Port Perry Baptist church. Cost is $5.00

Tonight we will be hanging out at the Resource Centre, watching a movie, and eating pizza. If you wish you can raid the Youth Group cupboard and create your own craft using anything you find. Drop off at 5pm and pick up at 7pm at the Port Perry Resource Centre. Cost is $5.00

Time: 6:00 pm

Jen's coming back with her furry and not so furry creatures. Come out for this once in a lifetime chance to hold, feed, and pet some unusual animals. Drop off at 6pm and pick up at 8pm at the Port Perry Baptist Church. Cost is $15
